The Lake Adventures Begin

Leaving my mom’s early afternoon on July 22, we entered Wyoming and were required to have the boat inspected for AIS (Aquatic Invasive Species). We did not have to wait in line and yet the inspection and decontamination took 90+ minutes. This then made us too late arriving at Glendo to have help stepping the mast, so decided to park in the lot and camp on the boat as it was. We couldn’t set up the grill with the mast still horizontal so we ended up having a moonlight dinner of carrots and apples. YUM! Did I mention the heat? Coming to the mountains didn’t really mitigate the heat, but at least it was a dry heat-really! Unfortunately, it may be easier to get dehydrated since you don’t realize how much you are sweating.
